We are currently recruiting a Despatch Chargehand (Nights) to ensure the smooth running of the Despatch Operation, by assisting the Despatch Supervisor to ensure all stock is receipted, stored, rotated, picked, and despatched on time and in full. The Chargehand will be primarily responsible for continuous improvement within the department and encouraging staff development. The Chargehand will also cover for the Despatch Supervisor during annual leave, which will involve attending management meetings and presenting KPI data.
Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
Supervise the Despatch Operatives, ensuring they are carrying out the correct scanning and movement of stock
Ensure all Retail requirements are picked and loaded in a timely manner
Monitor deliveries are booked in and put away correctly, with relevant paperwork completed
Manage the order collection and palletising, including stock rotation, maintaining the shelf requirements and ensuring the correct locations are used
Ensure the team are adhering to PPE requirements and health & safety legislation
Be a super-user on CMEX and NAV systems
Attend management meetings and present KPI data
Focus on continuous improvement within the department and encourage staff development
You Will Have:
Experience in a similar role: Chargehand/Team Leader /Supervisor
Experience leading a team and achieving positive production results
Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably food related)
Computer skills (Microsoft Office) ideally with knowledge of FOPS and Nav systems
Excellent communication skills and able to remain calm under pressure
