This is a full time, permanent position based on site. Your role involves working with a great, close-knit team, under pressure, in a fast paced, high performance environment. We're looking for an energetic and resourceful individual to join our team. The Despatch Coordinator will be responsible for the smooth operation of the full Despatch area, this role will work closely with Production Managers, Front Line Managers and the Planning & Logistics Co-Ordinator to ensure effective management and control of incoming stock and out loading of goods.

Responsible for stock levels, stock accuracy, booking in stock, shipping orders on Business Central as well as timely outload of products to third party logistics. Ensure safe and accurate intake of incoming, storage and transfer of goods to production areas whilst observing all food safety rules and Health & Safety procedures.

The environment is warm, rather than cold, but smells good and you will be joining a friendly and welcoming team.

Responsibilities:

Stock control, liaising with Planning & Logistics co-ordinator. Carry out stock takes as and when required, minimum monthly. Stock rotation, with transfer of stock to production areas as and when required; Booking stock in on receipt; Shipping orders within Business Central; Picking stock ready for outload; Stand in for Planning and Logistics co-ordinator as and when required; Responsible for receiving goods in, in line with Company procedures; Ensure that all products are handled in line with Company procedures; Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times within the despatch area and exterior yard. To assist in maintaining laid down procedures and practices to comply with BRC standards; FLT operations (where licensed); Ensure all pallets are correctly labelled for the right customer and cross checked as they are being loaded against documentation; Observing and operating to strict standards of Health & Safety; Dealing with Delivery drivers and operating as Banksman; Assisting in other areas of the Factory where required.
Qualifications / Behaviours

Certification / Reach & Counter Balance FLT Licences (essential) External Certification Previous experience in Despatch / Warehouse operation (essential) Previous experience in food manufacturing facility (desirable) Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (desireable) Proficient on all Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel and Outlook; (essential) Proficient in Navision (desirable) Previous experience in a FIFO system; Previous experience in a customer focused environment; Excellent numerical & data analysis, verbal and written communication skills; Flexible & Approachable, Organised & Hardworking; Ability to problem solve & be proactive; Keen eye for attention to detail.

4 on 4 off shift pattern

Pay: Up to 25,000.00 per year
