Are you an experienced Warehouse or Despatch Manager with a proven track record in food manufacturing and supply chain operations?

Laila's Fine Foods, a leading chilled and frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Bispham, Lancashire, is looking for an experienced Despatch Manager to lead and develop our Despatch operations. The Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have full responsibility for all warehouse operations - from goods in through to despatch. You will be expected to lead and develop your team, uphold safety and compliance standards, and ensure that customer expectations around quality and delivery are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse and despatch departments Lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams to meet performance and safety targets Ensure compliance with all health & safety, legal, and company requirements Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and productivity Maintain a strong focus on customer service, accuracy, and timely order fulfilment Support external audits and maintain high standards across all warehouse functions

About You:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a warehouse/despatch management role, ideally within food manufacturing Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams A hands-on manager with a proactive approach and excellent problem-solving abilities Experience with chilled/frozen supply chains and working to tight schedules Strong understanding of stock control, goods in/out, and dispatch logistics Confident communicator with a passion for continuous improvement
