Job Description

Role Purpose:

To ensure the accurate, efficient, and safe movement, storage, and loading of finished products from production areas to despatch or freezer facilities. The role supports operational flow by maintaining stock accuracy, completing documentation, and upholding quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Handling & Movement

Transfer products from post-bake coolers to despatch and freezer areas efficiently and safely.

Stock & Systems Management

Record product and stock figures accurately into BC. Carry out stock movement and stock counting activities across the department. Ensure all relevant documentation and despatch paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Quality & Compliance

Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards. Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times. Report any discrepancies, damages, or non-conformances to the Supervisor or Manager.

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

Experience in a despatch, warehouse, or food manufacturing environment. Ability to accurately input and record data (BC experience desirable). Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work in chilled or frozen environments. Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene standards. Forklift Truck licence - desirable as training will be provided. Knowledge of BC systems or similar warehouse management software would be beneficial but nor essential as training will be given inhouse,

Reliable and punctual. Team player with a positive, proactive approach. Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Flexible to support business demands, including covering other areas when necessary.

Working Conditions:

Shift-based working, including potential weekends or early/late shifts. Work undertaken in chilled or freezer environments with appropriate PPE provided.

Pay: From 12.41 per hour

Expected hours: 36.5 per week
