We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join our busy Despatch team. The candidate will ideally be well organised with the ability to maintain attention to detail whilst working under pressure in a buy and fast paced warehouse.



MONDAY TO FRIDAY 7am - 5pm approx. Average 45 hours per week. May involve some weekend work.

Packing and building orders for Despatch to customers Prepare pallets of stock for despatch to customers To carry out the correct procedures for forklift use including, usage, charging, staff usage etc. and reporting any discrepancies to the Despatch supervisor. To carry out safe loading and stacking of orders with a forklift Ensure paperwork is complete within the timescale and that delivery of goods is carried out to customer and company specifications To ensure the maintenance of good hygiene standards at all times To ensure that the data scanning equipment is fully maintained and charged at all times and responsible under the dispatch supervisor`s guidance for the input and output of all information collected maintaining a tidy warehouse at all times shunting trailers as required (if trained to do so) Carry out any additional duties that may be reasonably requested

Knowledge and Experience:



Previous experience in a fast paced food manufacturing or warehouse environment would be beneficial Fork Lift or Reach Truck licence may be beneficial bu full training can be given

Excellent attention to detail


Able to use own initiative


Excellent communication skills


Fork lift experience in a busy warehouse


Self-motivated


Knowledge of hygiene and food safety


Able to work as part of a team
