Job Summary

As Despatch Operative 30- 35 hours , it is your responsibility to ensure our orders are despatched in an accurate and timely manner with minimum damage whilst maintaining a safety-first approach. You'll achieve this through product receipt, loading and unloading of vehicles, order picking, and product allocation

The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment, preferably FMCG, with high standards, good attention to detail and a willingness to work to rigorous procedures.

This role is 6PM - 4AM

Duties

Maintain an organised warehouse environment by keeping work areas clean and tidy. Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory levels and report discrepancies. This is a demanding role in a heavily audited and busy logistics environment. A genuine enthusiasm for the nature of the work coupled with a positive attitude is essential

Skills

Proficiency in materials handling techniques and best practices. Experience with shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory control. Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong organisational skills to manage stock effectively and maintain order in the warehouse. Capability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
