Connexus UK are recruiting for a

Despatch Operative

for a leading supplier of tools and equipment. The company specialise in distributing high-quality products to customers across the UK and Ireland. Their success is built on efficient logistics, excellent customer service, and a strong stock management process. The Despatch Operative will be responsible for the accurate checking of quantity and quality of picked sales orders. The role involves ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of products to customers while adhering to company policies, health and safety regulations, and high standards of quality. You will be expected to lead by example, driving team performance and efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all company procedures for stock control, product integrity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the smooth and efficient running of the despatch department to fulfil operational and customer demands, ensuring targets for productivity, accuracy, and stock control are met. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records for product traceability and compliance purposes. Address and resolve any customer complaints related to despatch operations in a professional and timely manner. Ensure all despatch areas, including stock storage and loading areas, are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and safety. Provide training and support to new and existing team members, ensuring they understand Ensure 100% stock accuracy by recording all movements of products and conducting regular stock checks. Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) efficiently

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or despatch role A full, clean driving licence is essential A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence is required Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate stock records Proficient in using computerised stock management systems Physically fit to handle lifting and manual stock movements A reliable and proactive team player with a strong work ethic
