WORKING HOURS

- Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3.15pm, alternate Saturday mornings 6.30am to 10.30am

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to become part of the logistics team for one of the industry's leading manufacturers.

Responsibilities

Loading of the Vans along with the drivers (giving assistance will Frames, Glass, Cills etc..

Order Preparation

Check production schedules and pick lists to identify products due for despatch. Ensure all completed uPVC windows, doors, and ancillaries are correctly labelled and matched to customer orders. Conduct final visual inspections for quality, cleanliness, and packaging compliance before loading.

Loading and Logistics

Safely load finished frames, glass units, and accessories onto company vehicles or third-party transport in delivery order sequence. Use mechanical handling equipment (forklift trucks, pump trucks, trolleys) in accordance with training and safety standards. Secure all loads to prevent damage during transit and comply with transport regulations.

Documentation and Administration

Verify paperwork accuracy, including delivery notes, route sheets, and customer documentation. Report any discrepancies, shortages, or damage immediately to the Despatch Supervisor or Logistics Manager. Maintain accurate records of goods loaded and despatched using the factory's ERP or inventory system.

Warehouse and Yard Duties

Keep the despatch area clean, safe, and organised at all times. Assist with stock rotation and material handling (frames, trims, fixings, glass, packaging). Follow lean manufacturing and 5S principles where implemented.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Follow all company Health & Safety policies and wear appropriate PPE. Ensure all loading and despatch activities are compliant with manual handling and HGV loading safety standards. Report any unsafe acts, incidents, or near misses immediately.
