Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and organised

Despatch Supervisor

to oversee the day-to-day despatch operations within our food production facility. You will ensure that finished goods are picked, packed, stored, and dispatched accurately, on time, and in full compliance with

food safety, quality, and health & safety standards

.

Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Manage and oversee all despatch operations, ensuring orders are fulfilled efficiently and accurately. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of despatch staff to achieve daily targets. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards always. Monitor stock rotation and storage conditions, maintaining traceability and minimising waste. Work closely with Production, Planning, and Third-Party Hauliers to ensure smooth workflow. Implement and maintain effective systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Report on despatch performance, KPI achievement, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

Proven experience in a leadership role within warehousing, or logistics. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment. Good working knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP/BRC/IFS

)

and health & safety regulations. Competent IT skills. Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong command of English (spoken and written) is essential for effective

communication in this role

Proof of right to work in the UK will be required.

Desirable

Forklift licence (Counterbalance / Reach) Experience working in chilled or frozen environments.
