Job Description

Purpose- Your overall purpose is to run and manage the dispatch department, ensuring all out loads are dispatched in a timely and organised manner while communicating with Sales to ensure any issues are resolved prior to sending.

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure that the team adheres to all site H&S rules and that equipment is fit for purpose in their area.

Ensure that all vehicles are dispatched on time with the correct product.

Ensure all loads are picked and dispatched to customer order

Ensure all relevant quality and dispatch paperwork necessary to maintain product integrity is completed.

Maintain excellent standards.

To coach and train team members in SOPs for job related tasks.

Ensure staff are trained to perform the needed duties such as:

o Packing

o Loading vehicles

o All paperwork

o Stock control

Ensure team member absence and lateness is controlled and reported

Will need to troubleshoot when delays arise through:

o Transport issues

o Production issues

o Stock shortages

o Staff shortages

Other responsibilities as per business requirements.

Experience, knowledge and skills required

:

Provide support, learning and development to the team

Experience in leading a team to complete daily objectives/targets

Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure

Ideally with experience in manufacturing/dispatching

Flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks and work overtime occasionally

Literate and numerate to the extent required by warehouse paperwork

Able to perform tasks accurately and productively

Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 17.67 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Licence/Certification:

Forklift Licence (required) Reach Truck Licence (required) shunter licence (preferred)
