The Opportunity - Despatch Supervisor / Team Leader

Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, as the Despatch Supervisor / Team Leader you'll oversee a small team of three Despatch Operatives, as you play a key role in ensuring efficient loading, despatch and service delivery from three sites in North Wales.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising despatch operations across three sites Actively overseeing visiting drivers loading outbound goods (UK & EU) Conducting daily site, vehicle and compound safety checks Taking a hands on approach to safely loading and securing finished products on flatbeds, curtainsiders and containers, using small agricultural tractors Maintaining accurate records and supporting site operations and transport planning Ensuring site standards, organisation and compliance Communicating confidently with internal teams and customers - in person, over the phone and via email

Permanent contract Salary of 35,000, plus paid overtime where additional hours required Full time hours - working Monday to Friday 6.30am to 5.00pm, with 1 hour lunch break Company-funded training and continuous development Company pension 28 days annual holiday entitlement, inclusive of bank holidays A friendly, supportive, people-first team where you're known by name, not number

About You

You're an experienced supervisor, and you bring:

Previous logistics / transport yard experience Experience loading HGVs and/or containers Experience operating either agricultural machinery, FLT or Telehandler A motivational team leadership style that inspires and builds accountability Excellent communication skills with a proactive, "can-do" approach Good IT literacy An understanding of despatch administration and documentation, with a high level of attention to detail Strong reliability, work ethic and safety mindset Physically fit, capable of manual duties
