Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and support to ensure efficient food production. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods. Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Foster a positive team environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervision. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
