Duties

Prepare a variety of desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist in the development of new dessert menus and seasonal specials Ensure all desserts are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Manage ingredients inventory, ensuring freshness and proper stock rotation Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dessert station and kitchen area Serve desserts to customers with professionalism and excellent customer service skills Upsell desserts and complementary items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales Monitor portion control and presentation to uphold quality standards

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting Previous experience in a dessert shop and bakery setting Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene Basic maths skills for accurate measurement and portioning of ingredients Previous kitchen or culinary experience, with a focus on dessert creation preferred Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when serving guests Passion for dessert presentation, with an eye for detail
