Summary

We are seeking a passionate Dessert Maker to join our team in Gateshead. In this role, you will play a vital part in crafting our signature desserts, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and taste. Your contributions will help us continue to delight our customers and uphold our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and create a variety of desserts according to established recipes.

Ensure all food safety standards are maintained during preparation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely dessert service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dessert preparation area. Monitor inventory levels of dessert ingredients and assist with ordering as needed. Experiment with new dessert recipes to enhance our menu offerings. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patrons regarding dessert options. Assist in training new staff members on dessert preparation techniques.

Proven experience in food preparation or culinary roles, particularly in dessert making is desirable however training will be provided.

Strong understanding of food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills. Creative mindset with a passion for desserts. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus. Basic math skills for inventory management are preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: 13.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

Work Location: In person
