Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality and food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary knowledge, and proven experience in supervising teams. This role involves managing dessert preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining exceptional customer service levels. The Shop Manager will be responsible for coordinating staff, managing inventory, and upholding the organisation's reputation for quality and efficiency.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities, ensuring smooth operation during all shifts Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation Will begin as only employee and as it is a new store and when further staff have been hired they will have to manage a team of staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of the shop Monitor stock levels and organise procurement of ingredients and supplies Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas Assist with food production during busy periods to support team members as needed Deliver excellent customer service by addressing customer queries and resolving issues promptly Implement operational policies to optimise efficiency and minimise waste Uphold health & safety protocols at all times

Skills



Proven experience in supervising or managing a food-related establishment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food safety and hygiene standards Experience in food safety management systems and compliance procedures Familiarity with food production processes and restaurant or hotel experience is desirable Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Good communication skills to effectively liaise with staff and customers Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is advantageous but not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
