Job Description
Job Purpose:
To carry out Design tasks to achieve department and individual objectives.
Objectives/Responsibilities:
Deliver the following Departmental objectives:
Deliver complex 3D models, drawings, Bills of Materials, Job Cards and other design output and support on time to the plans agreed to support each project or sales order whilst maintaining the released design intent. Assist with the creation and maintenance of standard Build Schedules and Work Breakdown Structures for all products. Assist with the creation of project specific Work Breakdown Structures as agreed with with the Production and Procurement Teams. Assist with the administration of the business PDM system Operate to the Business Procedures and good design practices such as Design For Manufacture and Design For Maintenance. Continually improve individual output quality Complete tasks in a timely manner Work constructively and participate as part of the team Achieve good attendance, productivity and attitude Work in a problem-solving way with other members of the team Maintain personal standards for Health & Safety Good Attention to detail to ensure that outputs are accurate Competent Solidworks user with experience in large assembly modelling of vehicles or similar Excellent team working skills * Good understanding of production design processes.
