The Role


------------



The successful candidate would directly support the Executive Producer and Production Executive, in managing and coordinating their diaries, arranging meetings, and dealing with all contacts and answering all queries.




This role is the first point of contact in the Cosy Crime team office, prioritising and managing all incoming correspondence, updating reports, databases and other paperwork as and when required. You will keep communication with internal and external contacts at a senior level, always ensuring a timely response.




Liaising with our programme distributors, you will arrange the delivery of artwork and programme paperwork ahead of transmission and organise the iconic images (main press images) ahead of publicity. A passion for creating is a must-have as you will be required to self-shoot the promotion material EPKs and social media content, including using specialist skills to shoot and interview the cast for behind the scenes and collating to play out on iPlayer and our programme DVD.




The role requires organisation and an understanding and ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information, collating the details and data to create presentations such as our Production Kick Start meeting, create awards material and organise our workshops, including all travel. You will also be required to collate the script report and manage the slate document in preparation for our meetings presentations.




As the first port of call, you will also arrange all IT logins and equipment for new starters and freelancers coming to work on our shows, correspond with the IT department.



What does it take?

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following -




Proven television production experience in a coordinating role

Experience of self-shooting for commercial purposes

Experience of establishing and maintaining office and administration systems, with the ability to communicate information effectively to a wide range of production and non-production personnel, both internal and external to the BBC

Experience of arranging large events and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders

Experience of using office and information technology, to include Windows 10, with an understanding of BBC systems such as SAP, desirable

A knowledge of script reporting, desirable

Should be able to demonstrate a wide ranging knowledge of television production processes, preferably gained within drama, an understanding of the roles within the programme, and an understanding of the resources required to source and engage personnel
