Job Summary:
The Development Manager plays a key role in the successful delivery of real estate development projects from acquisition through to completion. This position is responsible for coordinating internal teams and external consultants, managing planning and design processes, monitoring budgets and timelines, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full development lifecycle of residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
Assist in the acquisition process, including site evaluation, feasibility analysis, and due diligence.
Manage planning applications and liaise with local authorities and stakeholders.
Coordinate architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality standards from pre-development through construction.
Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to align product design with target demographics and branding.
Prepare and present project reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
Drive value engineering and sustainable design initiatives where appropriate.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Around 5 years of experience in real estate development or project management.
Strong understanding of planning processes, construction, and financial modelling.
Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools and CAD software is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
RICS or other relevant professional accreditation is advantageous.
Knowledge of local planning regulations and market trends.
Experience working on mixed-use or large-scale developments.
