Salary: 45,900 per annum




Location: Home based but this role requires frequent and required travel (2 -3 days a week) across a National landscape (England and Wales) and must be able to access one of the The Children's Society's offices listed below:




Manchester

Newcastle

Leeds

Birmingham

Plymouth

Chelmsford



An exciting opportunity has become available for a Development Manager within our young people's services domain. Due to our growth across our young people's services domain, we are looking for the right candidate to lead and project manage the mobilisation of newly commissioned services within our young people's services domain and/or provide management support to existing services, where capacity is required. The candidate will also be responsible to lead and deliver all mobilisation activities within predetermined timelines, ensuring quality and safe practice at all times, work closely with internal cross-functional teams and manage senior external stakeholders and multiple budgets, to ensure smooth project progression from inception to delivery.

TYPE OF PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR





We are currently looking for an effective project manager, with significant experience of leading young people's services to join our dynamic, ambitious team.



A key part of this role will be your ability to:


Manage a project team in order to achieve key deliverables set out in the mobilisation plan, to budget and to timescales. Make decisions regarding key components of the mobilisation schedule. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, working at pace. Lead communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. Implement quality assurance processes and monitor these, outlined in the Safeguarding policy and in line with TCS practices and safeguarding standards. Build up relationships and rapport with key strategic stakeholders at pace, over multiple contracts, across a national landscape.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES





In order to be successful in this role, you must have:


Excellent project management skills Managment/leadership experience within young people's services Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation related to Children's Social Care and Health services and/ Relevant Qualifications; Excellent Safeguarding knowledge and practice Experience of contract compliance and management
