dynamic, values-driven Learning Coach

who can guide learners and employers alike through our tech and digital apprenticeships, bootcamps, and development programmes.

The Development Manager (TDM) is an award-winning tech and digital training provider specialising in delivering Government-funded apprenticeships from beginner to degree levels and Skills Bootcamps for Pre-Apprentices. In addition to many small employer organisations, our larger client base include: Microsoft, Xbox, NHS, Severn Trent, West Midlands Police, etc. TDM supports learners with an individualised learning plan delivered by expert Tech & Digital Skills & Knowledge Coaches (who are the Technical Experts) alongside their counterpart Performance & Development Coaches as well as Academic Rigour Coaches. The company offers a wide range of programs in coding, cyber, digital marketing, data, AI, automation, cloud, networks, Microsoft, etc to support local employers in digitally transforming their workforce.

What You'll Do:



Coach a

caseload of tech and digital learners

--supporting both their personal growth and professional performance. Work alongside a counterpart Skills and Knowledge Coach, who will deliver the technical expertise of the apprenticeship/Skills Bootcamp programme. Help learners answer two essential questions:

"How best can I work?"


"How best shall I learn?"



Design and deliver

engaging training sessions

using our flipped classroom approach, combining virtual tools (like Totara, Moodle, Mahara) with real-world experience. Work closely with employer partners to

futureproof their workforce

and support digital transformation initiatives. Monitor and support

learner progress

, ensuring retention, timely completion, and meaningful development in performance, English, maths, and whole person growth. Document learning journeys with precision, ensuring full

compliance

with policies and quality frameworks. Collaborate with fellow coaches and managers to bring our

to life in everything you do.

Previous adult coaching, mentoring, teaching or managing experience is an advantage, but TDM will Teach to Teach (our way): i.e. Coaching, Training, Facilitating, Assessing, eModerating, Instructional Design, etc.

Ideal Candidate:



Required:

English and Maths at Level 2+ (i.e. GCSE grade C/4+). A passion for starting people's careers and for working with (and fostering learning and development relationships for) employers and for their employees as learners. Strong project management and organisation skills to ensure each employer and each learner achieves what they're capable of. Good writing, self-organisation and attention to detail skills. Ability to personally demonstrate and also to develop others against the TDM core values (see above). Ability to gain trust and communicate with individuals from various backgrounds and various attitudes to life and work. Ability to adapt to changing legislation, to multi-task and use a variety of continuously evolving systems and processes as required. A full, clean driving licence, access to a vehicle and a willingness to travel as and when required.
Preferred:

A background in the education, people management or the Apprenticeship sector. Coaching / assessing skills and qualifications. Classroom training skills and qualifications. Instructional design / VLE skills and qualifications.
