Job description
We're looking for a talented and creative social media professional to join our busy and dynamic Comms Team here at Nottinghamshire Police.
We're looking for someone with a flair for engaging with a wide range of audiences - helping us to connect with our communities and build trust and confidence through great storytelling. Your work on stories and supporting digital campaigns will help to protect the public and save lives.
We want to hear from candidates with a passion for positive and transformative communications. You will have excellent written and verbal skills - you might be a digital journalist looking for your next challenge or a social media comms specialist already working in a large, fast-paced organisation, delivering impactful and tangible change through innovative digital and social media engagement.
You will be well-organised and confident in responding to and leading social media conversations, as well as advising officers at all levels across the force on how best to connect with the communities we serve, through highlighting their work to protect people and solve crime.
Being able to produce captivating visual content to help engage audiences is a key requirement of the role, and being able to advise how content is best used on channels to drive positive and meaningful interactions with the public.
This role will play a key part in helping to take our social media to the next level, so a sound understanding of managing social media, analysis of insight/evaluation and channel development are essential.
You will also be an inspirational team player who leads by example to develop a first-class service for the people of Nottinghamshire.
Please note this job will be based at force headquarters, but there is an expectation that the person appointed will be required sometimes to work at different locations as required, so a clean driving licence is essential.
