Location: London (Hybrid working - minimum 2 days per week in the office)

The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 55,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.


The Digital Content Engagement Officer will play a key role in raising the bar of the College's digital content production, including making a significant contribution to the development and completion of the audit process of the College website and the development and launch of the new CMS in 2026. They will promote high standards of content production, establishing the RCGP as a leader in digital engagement with its members and stakeholders.


We are looking for an exceptional and creative digital professional with experience of different content production methods, processes, project methodologies and the ability to consider the best way of delivering our messages using different platforms,channels, and formats


You'll be responsible for crafting engaging content, enhancing user journeys, and driving measurable growth in audiences and online engagement.

You will:


Play a key role in making the RCGP website a world-class resource for all GPs in the UK, increasing the impact of our work and driving member engagement, recruitment and retention. Contribute to and deliver a content strategy which underpins the College's activity Support and train subject matter experts (SMEs) across the College, including Officers and clinical leads on writing for the web and to create, optimise and maintain content, driving high standards Ensure we produce high quality content that is creative and engaging designed around the needs of our members, aligning with our web strategy and campaign goals Work with other colleagues in the team to identify which communication channels can be used to best promote content and campaigns, including social media and email. Work with colleagues across the College on managing cross channel content requests but also spotting and instigating new content creating opportunities Ensure content is SEO optimised and tailored to target audiences, while maintaining consistent tone, style, and messaging across the site

Performance monitor and report on website performance using GA4, and other tools, track key metrics and generate actionable insights and propose data-driven improveThe successful candidate will share our corporate values. In return, the College offers excellent terms and conditions.
