About the role
The Digital Content Executive will report directly to the Senior Marketing Lead and work alongside an experienced team of marketing professionals.
The right candidate will successfully drive SEO focused long-form copywriting for digital content production whilst also implement new strategies to increase followers and engagement on all social media channels for the business.
We're looking for a well-rounded, proactive and adaptable Digital Content Executive to support the planning, creation, and optimisation of short-form and long-form content across our digital channels. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining creative copywriting with digital marketing execution and data-driven thinking.
You'll report directly to the Senior Marketing Lead and work closely with a supportive marketing team, contributing to content creation, digital articles & publications, website updates via WordPress, SEO improvement, and campaign support.
Key focus areas
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Lead, the right candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Content Creation & Copywriting:
Research, write and edit long-form content including blogs, articles, case studies, and white papers.
Create SEO-friendly web copy that reflects our brand tone and supports commercial objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical insights and translate them into engaging digital content.
Digital Channel Management:
Develop and implement B2B focused social media strategies to increase followers.
Create and schedule engaging platform-appropriate B2B content across social channels (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), including text, images, videos, and graphics
Monitor client and competitor activity on social and web
Maintain and update website content via WordPress (or similar CMS).
Create monthly reports and follower audits for continuous campaign improvement
Assist in developing and delivering digital campaigns to support brand awareness, lead generation, and product launches.
Support the delivery of email campaigns using CRM platforms such as HubSpot.
Performance & Optimisation:
Monitor content performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush and other tools.
Track KPIs and produce regular insight reports for optimisation.
Apply SEO best practices to improve visibility, covering both on-page and off-page techniques.
Analyse social media data to track campaign performance and identify trends.
Creative & Technical Support:
Work with the Digital Creative Designer to brief and support video, visual, and multimedia content.
Support the development of paid digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, social ads) as needed.
Stay informed about digital trends, SEO updates, and platform changes that could impact strategy.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that involves managing multiple content and digital tasks, so strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to shifting demands are essential.
Within this role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the companies' social media channels and influence the content for the websites, working within a team where your opinions will be heard and valued.
A commutable home location near our head office location in Coventry is essential.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a content or digital marketing role.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising content that engages, informs, and motivates.
Co-ordinated and organised: comfortable running several content calendars at once while maintaining quality and growth
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Good organisational skills, the ability to manage their own time productively
Strong copywriting and editing skills, particularly for web and long-form content.
Good understanding of on-page and off-page SEO principles and how to apply them in content.
Familiarity with content management systems (preferably WordPress).
Organised, detail-driven and able to manage deadlines effectively.
Desirable Skills
:
Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Ads.
Experience with CRM or email platforms such as HubSpot.
Basic understanding of technical SEO, including Core Web Vitals.
Video editing and Motion graphics skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects (or similar) to produce cinematic corporate & explainer videos.
Exposure to PPC campaign management and reporting.
