The City of London Corporation manages 11,000 acres of land in and around London that is enjoyed by over 16 million visitors annually. North London Open Spaces, cares for and oversees nearly 1,000 of these acres and includes a portfolio of some of the United Kingdom's most iconic public open spaces, including Hampstead Heath (inclusive of Golders Hill Park and Parliament Hill), Highgate Wood, Queen's Park., and West Ham Park. The role
As a content writer, you will create print and digital content that provides information and showcases the products and services each site of our beautiful Victorian Parks, ancient woodlands and beloved landscapes. You will be able to publish content for a variety of digital platforms, including websites, videos, blogs, marketing campaigns, infographics, and social media, including Producing marketing to promote the management of the sites and the events programme
Promoting content on social media
Creating and publishing engaging content for various digital platforms including our websites
Collaborating with the communications team to develop content strategies that align with business goals
Researching and staying up to date on industry trends and best practices to ensure content is relevant and effective
The ideal candidate
You have a relevant level 3 communication or marking qualification or equivalent experience. You have an in-depth knowledge of digital media engagement targeted to a wide and diverse audience. You understand search engines and algorithms and are up to date with the latest social media trends. You have experience on optimising large social media platforms. You have excellent IT skills and experience working in a communications role and managing social media feeds. You will be a highly organised with excellent time management skills. You will be a natural creative, passionate about your work and who can bring fresh ideas. You will be a great team player, ready to support others and work with colleagues, at all levels.
