Short summary

We are seeking an experienced and creative content producer to lead the content creation for the new family pages of the Crick website. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a project to expand and improve our digital offer for family audiences, engaging more families across the UK with the Crick and discovery science.

Key Responsibilities

Content production

  • Produce regular, high-quality, scientifically accurate and compelling digital content inspired by Crick science - including videos, hand-on activities and downloadable worksheets - in order to expand and deepen our engagement with family audiences at a national level.
  • Develop a good understanding of Crick research, building relationships with Crick scientists and identifying opportunities to collaborate on new content and activities, ensuring accuracy, and giving the scientists an important opportunity to build their skills and confidence in communicating their work to non-scientific audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance, develop and repurpose existing Crick content and activities to develop new digital family engagement resources.
  • Ensure our digital families\' content and platforms are accessible and underpinned by best-practice EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) and access principles.
Content strategy development
  • Work with colleagues in the Communications and Public Engagement Team and our web development agency to develop and maintain a content strategy for the new family pages of the Crick website, ensuring we have a sustainable approach for creating new digital family engagement resources.
  • Contribute to horizon scanning to ensure that the Crick keeps up with digital developments and continues to produce content that meets the needs of our audiences.
  • Work with our Marketing and Digital Content teams to develop a marketing plan for our digital family resources in order to maximise its reach through digital channels (website, social media and email) and other non-digital channels.
