Job description

Role: Digital Executive

Salary:

35,235 - 39,513

About the Organisation:

As a long-term endeavour, the South East Wales Corporate Joint Committee (trading as Cardiff Capital Region or CCR) is built on a functional economic geography that is constantly adapting to tackle the big industrial, public policy and societal challenges of the day.

With the emphasis on ongoing self-evaluation, impact delivery and long-term benefits realisation, the team in CCR is determined to make a real difference to the lives of the 1.5m people who live and work in this Region and to the businesses here that generate over half of Wales' GDP. Based in the new and highly stimulating Spark Building, owned by Cardiff University, CCR's efforts span the ten councils of South East Wales, the UK and increasingly, a global stage.

About the Job:

The role of the Digital Executive is a central one and your contribution to the profile, visibility and reputation of the Cardiff Capital Region investments and interventions will be significant. You will be responsible for (among other duties):

Planning, creating and executing CCR's digital outputs and campaigns, including our prolific social media content, that support our corporate and statutory duties. This will include engaging with a wide variety of external stakeholders, including Government. Helping to manage CCR's current website and take a lead in creating and maintaining CCR's new planned website in 2025. Creating, writing and editing corporate communications including external and internal e-newsletters and developing our 'comms blend' for target audiences. Produce analytics and take the lead in developing our SEO and PPC approach, including local and global SEO activities.

What we are looking for from you:

We expect you to be creative, inventive and show a commitment to evolving CCR's digital offering. Training and professional development will be provided.

You will have demonstrable experience in digital platforms, content management systems, analytic reporting and daily maintenance of a widely-read website.

A confident and talented communicator, you will be adept at researching and writing engaging copy that can amplify our core purpose, securing increasing coverage and extending our reach and influence.

You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, while still adhering to our legal and statutory obligations as a public body.

If you have the technical proficiency, analytical and communication skills and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing digital landscape, then we'd like to hear from you.
