Role Overview
We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Digital Marketing Lead to drive African Impact's digital marketing function with a strong emphasis on lead generation and brand consistency. This role balances performance marketing with creative brand storytelling, ensuring we remain at the forefront of digital excellence while delivering measurable results. You will manage a high-performing Marketing Campaign Coordinator and collaborate closely with ITG's central marketing team and in-country stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute a cohesive digital marketing strategy aligned with ITG's overall marketing vision and African Impact's lead generation goals.
Identify and implement innovative digital opportunities to enhance reach, engagement and conversion.
Performance Marketing
Oversee PPC, SEO, paid social and remarketing campaigns to generate high-quality leads with a measurable return on investment.
Ensure data-driven optimisations across all paid channels and Conversion Rate Optimisation initiatives.
Content & Storytelling
Champion compelling, purpose-driven storytelling that aligns with African Impact's values and elevates its global brand presence.
Collaborate on visual and written content strategies to engage diverse audiences across social, web, email and blog platforms.
Digital Platform Oversight
Oversee website performance, user journeys, and CRO, working with developers and UX designers to optimize lead flow and user experience.
Monitor analytics dashboards (Google Analytics, HotJar) and CRM workflows to ensure pipeline visibility.
Team Leadership
Direct and support the Marketing Campaign Coordinator, providing clear briefs, mentoring and performance feedback.
Drive cross-departmental alignment on campaign priorities, timelines and metrics.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in digital marketing with a focus on performance and lead generation.
Proven success managing paid media campaigns (PPC, Paid Social, SEO).
Strong understanding of CRM and marketing automation
Website optimisation experience, including CRO principles and CMS management (WordPress).
Excellent leadership and project management skills.
Strong brand and storytelling intuition in purpose-driven environments.
Experience with analytics tools and campaign reporting.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Background in responsible travel, education or conservation.
Experience managing/mentoring junior marketing staff.
Familiarity with creative content production processes.
Note: This role is for 'African Impact' and will be reporting to the Director of Marketing of the Impact Travel Group which includes brands such as Camps International and Raleigh International. The location of the role will reside at Camps International Ringwood premises.
