At Red Balloon, we solve client challenges using design, technology and communication that puts people first. We're looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to drive measurable growth across our clients and our own agency with a focus on B2B campaign execution, email marketing, content-led demand generation, and reporting that turns data into action.
This role is for someone who enjoys building marketing systems that perform: smart segmentation, strong messaging, repeatable campaigns, and clear next steps.
What you'll doCampaigns & Demand Generation
Plan and run multi-channel campaigns (primarily B2B, with a little B2C in the mix), pulling together email, content, SEO, social, and landing pages for both agency and clients.
Build conversion-led campaign journeys: audience ? message ? asset ? CTA ? follow-up sequences.
Use data and feedback loops to iterate quickly and improve performance (CTR, CVR, MQL?SQL, CPA where applicable).
Email Marketing & Marketing Ops
Own email marketing strategy and execution across key platforms (Hubspot etc.)
Create segmented email sequences and nurturing flows based on behaviour (opens, clicks, intent, lifecycle stage).
Improve deliverability and list hygiene, and use testing (subject lines, messaging angles, CTAs) to lift performance.
Content & Social
Turn strategy into assets: campaign landing pages, email copy, LinkedIn posts, simple case-study style stories, and content that supports buyer journeys.
Coordinate asset production with designers/copywriters where needed and be comfortable writing and shaping content yourself.
Build and maintain a practical content plan that supports campaigns (not "content for content's sake").
SEO
Drive organic growth via keyword-led content planning, on-page optimisation, internal linking, and content refreshes.
Use tools like SEMrush, GA4, and Google Search Console to monitor performance and spot opportunities.
Collaborate with dev/design for implementation -- you don't need to be a technical SEO engineer, but you must understand the fundamentals and be able to brief tasks clearly.
Monitor and grow domain authority and AI mentions.
Strategy, Process & Collaboration
Campaign Planning:
Plan integrated campaigns around exciting brands and their products and services, pulling together SEO, PPC, and Content into a conversion busting package with scope for scale.
Process Management:
Maintain marketing boards for clients and campaigns to ensure all tasks are tracked, reporting, and delivered on schedule.
Client Communication:
Set clear expectations, translate complex metrics into actionable insight, and build trusted relationships based on transparency and results.
Reporting:
Deliver monthly reports outlining SEO rankings, paid ad performance, and content engagement with tailored recommendations.
Nice to have: Paid Media / PPC
While not core to the role, experience with PPC (Google/Meta) would be a bonus. This includes running audits, setting up and managing ad groups, and optimising landing pages for paid campaigns. We deliver paid campaigns for clients, so experience here would be certainly beneficial.
Experience auditing or running paid ads, improving landing pages for paid traffic, and interpreting paid performance metrics (CPC, CPA, ROAS).
Conversion tracking familiarity (GA4 events, GTM basics, UTMs).
What you'll bring
2+ years in digital marketing (agency experience is a plus, but not required).
Strong email marketing and campaign execution skills.
Comfortable writing campaign copy and shaping content assets.
Confident using analytics to guide decisions (GA4 + GSC, SEMrush or equivalent).
Solid working knowledge of B2B funnels and lead quality (MQL?SQL thinking).
Strong communicator with an organised, hands-on mindset.
Why join us?
You'll be joining an ambitious agency that's evolving rapidly and investing in people, tools, and processes to do work that matters. We care about quality, clarity, and creativity and we're looking for someone to grow with us as we scale our marketing capabilities.
If this sounds like something you think you could play a pivotal part in, get in touch.
