About Us

Insurance Revolution is a Manchester-based specialist insurance broker and one of the UK's leading providers of non-standard insurance. We help individuals and businesses who don't fit the "standard" insurance mould, offering products such as commercial vehicle insurance, courier and delivery driver insurance, convicted driver insurance, motor trade insurance, fleet insurance, and wider business and commercial insurance solutions.

We're part of a growing group of companies, including:

A specialist driving school insurance broker. A business services broker providing essential business services such as business energy, payments, broadband, and waste management.
Our business is built around strong digital performance and lead generation through inbound traffic, strategic partnerships, and effective communication strategies. As we continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to take ownership of our digital communications and social strategy across all brands.

The Role

This is a key role in our marketing team, responsible for managing all digital communication journeys and social media activity across all business divisions.

You'll work closely with the Marketing Director to deliver an integrated marketing strategy, leading on communications, customer lifecycle and cross-sell campaigns, and supporting wider website, content, and SEO initiatives.

While you won't be directly managing paid channels, a good understanding of PPC and paid social will help you collaborate effectively and view performance holistically across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Communications & CRM Strategy

Lead the digital communications strategy across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and emerging channels. Build automated customer journeys for new business, renewals, re-engagement, and cross-sell (X-sell) campaigns. Use segmentation, targeting, and analytics to deliver personalised and high-performing communication flows. Drive conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value through effective lifecycle marketing. Test and optimise subject lines, content, and timing to improve open and engagement rates.

2. Cross-Sell & Retention Campaigns

Design and deliver cross-sell and upsell strategies to increase multi-product engagement across the group (e.g. promoting additional business services to existing insurance customers). Collaborate with internal teams to identify and act on opportunities within the customer base. Build and manage automated workflows that support renewal and retention objectives.

3. Social Media Management

Own and execute the social media strategy for all group brands. Plan, create, and schedule engaging, on-brand content that reflects our values and drives engagement. Manage content calendars, liaise with internal/external creators, and ensure consistent messaging across platforms. Track and analyse social performance metrics to identify growth opportunities.

4. Collaboration with Marketing Director

Work closely with the Marketing Director to support website development, SEO initiatives, and blog content strategy. Provide input into overall digital strategy and contribute ideas for conversion improvement and brand positioning. Offer insights on how paid, organic, and communications channels can work together effectively.

5. Reporting & Insight

Report regularly on campaign and channel performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker Studio, CRM dashboards) to evaluate performance and ROI. Present data-led recommendations to enhance engagement and conversion

About You

You're a creative, analytical, and commercially minded marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, lead-driven environment. You're confident managing digital comms and social but understand how paid, organic, and CRM channels all connect to drive performance.

Essential Experience:

Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Manager, CRM/Communications Manager, or similar within insurance, financial services, or a lead generation environment. Strong background in digital communications, CRM automation, and customer lifecycle marketing. Experience in developing and executing cross-sell, renewal, and retention campaigns. Proven success managing social media strategy and content creation. Excellent copywriting, campaign planning, and communication skills. Data-driven with a strong understanding of performance analysis and optimisation. Working knowledge of paid media channels (PPC, paid social) to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.

Desirable:

Experience using CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. Zoho, Zapier, Brevo, or similar). Understanding of FCA compliance, GDPR, and customer data regulations. Previous experience in B2B marketing environments.
