OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Digital Content Officer is responsible for producing engaging, high-quality digital and social media content across Contact's website and online platforms. This role plays a key part in telling the story of Contact - showcasing our theatre productions, participation projects, commercial activity, and the journeys of the young people and artists we work with.
Using tools such as social media, email marketing, and website updates, the Digital Content Officer helps to increase awareness, grow audiences, and support ticket sales and other forms of engagement. Working closely with teams across the organisation, they will also support and encourage staff and young creatives to contribute to content creation. This role offers the opportunity to develop new skills and shape aspects of the role around the post-holder's interests, in line with the organisation's goals.
MAIN TASKS
Oversee Contact's social media channels, creating and scheduling compelling content that drives engagement, footfall and ticket sales, replying to messages and sharing relevant external content.
Create compelling and accessible written and visual content using software including Canva and the Adobe suite, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines
Maintain mailing lists and plan, write and schedule regular newsletters in line with Contact's programme of events
Act as 'Brand Guardian' ensuring that all communications are visually on brand as well as on message, representing Contact's mission, vision and brand values
Work with the Communications & Marketing Manager and Sales and Audiences Manager to produce and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy, including website updates, email marketing and external advertising
Support all Contact staff and supported artists to engage with content creation and distribution, including channel take-overs. port and where appropriate train young people across Contacts projects and programmes to create and distribute digital content.

Establish and maintain good working relationships with all Contact's partner organisations
Get involved with creative work being presented by Contact by attending workshops, read-throughs, rehearsals and performances on a regular basis

Advise and report regularly on activity as required by the wider Senior Management Team, Board and sub-boards, supplying any data required to meet funder reporting requirements.
Provide mentoring and support to young people and on occasion deliver training/workshops in areas relevant to your job role
In line with Contact's governance model, pro-actively engage young people in decision-making through consultations, young people's panels and other mechanisms relevant to your job role
Manage all personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulations, using the Spektrix database as directed

DESIRABLE
Experience of being involved in the planning and delivery of digital marketing campaigns, working across multiple social media platforms and digital channels
Demonstrable knowledge of working with design/print or other marketing agencies
Experience within a commercial arts environment
Knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and the ability to apply these to communications plans and campaigns
Experience of effective campaign evaluation
Experience of using Dotdigital and Spektrix
