Role overview:



We're looking for a Digital Marketing Operations Manager to own our marketing technology stack, website functionality, and key strategic projects that drive efficiency, scalability, and growth. Reporting into the Head of Digital Marketing, this role will be instrumental in ensuring our martech ecosystem is optimised, our website infrastructure meets our business needs, and that we successfully execute complex projects such as website migrations and integrating new company acquisitions into our marketing systems.



This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strategic thinking. You will manage a Marketing Automation Specialist and work cross-functionally with the wider Digital Marketing team, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Sales Ops to ensure seamless data flow, automation, and system integrations.



Key Responsibilities:



Marketing Technology & Operations

Own and manage the marketing tech stack, ensuring tools are effectively integrated and aligned with business needs. Work closely with Salesforce and Engineering teams to ensure new marketing automation, CRM, and lead routing processes function seamlessly. Oversee tracking, attribution, and analytics for campaign performance and reporting, in collaboration with the Data and Insights team. Identify, evaluate, and implement new martech solutions to enhance marketing efficiency and performance.

Website & CMS Management

Own the functionality of the marketing website, ensuring it supports SEO, lead generation, and conversion rate optimisation (CRO). Act as the primary liaison with Engineering to ensure our CMS meets marketing needs and is properly maintained. Manage third-party integrations, tracking, and performance optimisations for the website.

Strategic Projects & Growth Initiatives

Lead website migrations, re-platforming projects, and consolidation efforts when integrating newly acquired companies. Work with Business Change to ensure smooth data and process integration when onboarding new businesses into the marketing stack. Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve marketing automation, data flow, and system scalability. Develop and maintain documentation and best practices for marketing operations processes.

What will you need to succeed?



Experience:



5+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, or related roles. Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Dotdigital) and CRM (Salesforce preferred). Experience working with engineering teams to scope, implement, and maintain marketing technology. Proven ability to lead website migrations, integrations, and martech implementations. Experience in B2B SAAS and education an advantage

Knowledge:



Strong understanding of website functionality, CMS platforms (ideally including Drupal, but not essential) and website tracking (Google Tag Manager, GA4). Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms and CRM (ideally Hubspot and Salesforce). Knowledge of lead scoring, nurture flows, and campaign automation. Familiarity with CDPs, API integrations, and data warehousing. Understanding of SEO, CRO, and web analytics best practices.

Skills:



Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with data, attribution models, and performance reporting. Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
