The School

Join our dynamic team at the London School of Film, Media and Design as a Digital Media & Print Technician Demonstrator and help shape the next generation of visual storytellers.
About the Role
As a key member of our technical team, you'll provide expert support across both analogue and digital photography, ensuring our studios, darkrooms, and digital imaging suites are safe, innovative, and fully operational. You'll work closely with students, academic staff, and external clients to deliver high-quality technical instruction and facilitate creative exploration.
What You'll Do
Manage and maintain cutting-edge photographic studios and darkrooms.
Deliver engaging technical demonstrations in analogue and digital photography.
Support students in developing their creative ideas into professional outcomes.
Oversee equipment loans, exhibitions, and installations.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and conduct risk assessments.
Collaborate with academic and technical teams to enhance curriculum delivery.
What We're Looking For
A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
Extensive experience in photographic studio support and technical instruction.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Capture One, and digital/analogue workflows.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices (COSHH, LOLER, risk assessments).
A passion for student engagement, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work across locations and outside standard hours when needed.
Desirable Extras
First Aid qualification.
Commercial studio experience.
A proactive approach to professional development and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
