Job Title:Digital Operations Partner

Reporting to:Head of Data & Technology

Location:Wavemaker Worldwide, London

Role context:

The Digital Operations Partner:
  • Strategic & functional leader of the team and uses their experience in digital online advertising and digital operations to align with the Digital Operations Partner to drive the team strategy, services and skills to meet WM Worldwide client needs
  • Leads the team to drive a high performing team culture to ensure the digital operations services of the department deliver on client needs and continually evolve to meet clients\' future data and technology needs
  • Ensures all team services, knowledge and capabilities meet client & WM WW needs
  • Oversee all team processes & tools used to fulfil client services, continually finding improvements and optimisations where possible
  • Leads team strategy, launches new business, team training & performance reviews
  • Employs ad operations & technology expertise to consult on & deliver ad technology solutions for clients in concert with Wavemaker\'s stakeholders and vendors.
The Digital Operations Partner\'s role:
  • Solutions specialist lead and consultant, leading projects for clients and / or stakeholders as required.
  • Subject matter expert in relevant ad technology solutions, leading and training relevant team members and stakeholders in those areas to improve the capabilities of WM WW
  • Strategic & tactical leader, pivoting between client consultation & campaign / ad tech activations.
  • Executive escalation point for team & stakeholders in all matters
  • Team leader & people manager, working closely with the Head of Data & Technology to set the strategic goals, structure, resources and service levels of the department and also coaching / mentoring / managing all team members
  • Implementer & change manager of processes & tools to ensure services meet all client needs
  • Subject matter expert, escalation point & consultant to clients in all ad tech & operations services
  • Change leader, consistently seeking opportunities to improve services and team performance
  • Relationship manager, knowledge sharer and service provider to all WM WW clients, accounts teams and relevant markets, responsible for identifying and onboarding new business & projects
The Digital Operations Partner\'s purpose:
  • Working with Multi-market / global accounts, the Digital Operations Partner must ensure the team is a trusted service provider to clients and consistently ensures the readiness of the team. Champion the capabilities of the team internally and to clients, whilst also providing strategic thought leadership & direction to the team and stakeholders
  • Pivotal role providing strategic thought regarding new business & projects and ensuring successful implementation of such requests by the Digital Operations Team
  • Enables further Wavemaker services & client retention by providing clients with centralised an operations or technical service which is knowledgeable
Core responsibilities:

Client Services
  • Primary stakeholder & subject matter expert for WM WW strategies, project delivery and consultation opportunities in the fields of ad technology, data and ad operations
  • Lead all services and strategy of the team in the management of all digital advertising campaigns & associated technologies for WM WW clients.
  • Apply a deep understanding of client businesses, their future needs, technologies and the wider industry to ensure team services evolve consistently to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Lead adoption of efficient tools & processes to ensure team resources efficiently meet client needs
  • Lead a best in class set of specialist services and tools for all clients including: tagging / tracking technologies, web analytics strategies and ad verification technologies
  • Understand and apply the technologies of Wavemaker and our industry to team services
New Business & Projects
Lead a best in class set of specialist services and tools for all clients including: tagging / tracking technologies, web analytics strategies and ad verification technologies * Primary stakeholder, executive lead & subject matter lead for the scoping and launch of new ad operations / technology business services, projects and / or relevant WM WW projects & products

Vendor & Partner Management
  • Lead & manage relationships with relevant ad technology vendors and service providers
Leadership & People
  • Executive escalation point & support for Directors in day-to-day operations
  • Manage, coach and mentor all leadership members of the team
  • Act as a coach and mentor to all members of the Digital Operations team
  • Line management of relevant members of the Digital Operations team
  • Lead a consistent system of objectives, performance reviews and feedback for all team members
  • Lead & inspire a high performing, customer service centric team culture, promoting strong work-life balances and recognising the successes of team members regularly
  • Lead & maintain a system of performance review, feedback & training for all team members
  • Lead and support all recruitment within the UK based team, as well as ensuring appropriate offshored resourcing is in place
  • Support the Digital Operations team in day-to-day duties as and when required
Training & Knowledge Sharing
  • Working closely with senior GroupM Nexus stakeholders for the progression of AdTech Operations across the group
  • Lead a system of technical training & knowledge for all team members to enable team services
  • Lead consistent training and professional skills development systems for all team members
  • Support a knowledge sharing system of relevant materials & industry knowledge within WM WW
Required skills / experience:

Background
  • Media agency, data and technology industry and/or technology vendor
  • Team leader and people management in an operations or media environment
  • Project management in a technical or media related field
  • Passion for digital online operations and relevant technology solutions
  • Building and leading commercial relationships with clients and/ or third party vendors
Experience
  • 5+ years digital online / ad operations experience in a publisher or agency environment
  • 4+ years Leadership and management experience of a team within a related field (including offshore teams is desirable)
  • Experience in client liaison and account management
  • Experience in the management and roll out of relevant ad technologies
  • Relevant Search, Social, Programmatic experience
  • Ability to produce tracking & conversion strategies to meet and exceed client goals
  • Knowledge of digital advertising, commercial relationships, cost structures & technologies
  • Excellent Excel, project management and presentation skills
  • Essential: Knowledge of ad servers (advertiser side). Experience working in platform in Google Campaign Manager and FlashTalking ad server (Sizmek and Adform is a plus)
  • Knowledge of site tag implementation via Tag Management Systems (primarily GTM)
  • Organised & able to prioritise workload in a multi-tasking environment
  • An understanding of the industry landscape
  • Experience in relevant coding languages such as JavaScript, HTML and/or CSS
  • Solid understanding of DCO and site analytics (e.g. GA). MMP (e.g. Appsflyer) experience is a plus
Relevant Qualifications (essential)
  • Google Campaign Manager, Sizmek, FlashTalking, Adform or any other relevant ad serving certification
Relevant Qualifications (desired, not required)
  • Google Analytics and / or Adobe Analytics certifications
  • Facebook (Meta) Developer I/II Blueprint
  • Tag management system certifications, particularly Google Tag Manager
  • Relevant JavaScript, HTML or other such related qualifications
