Location: Bradford/ Hybrid Working (a mix of office and home working)





Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.





We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Product Manager to join the Customer Experience function at Yorkshire Water.

We are now looking for a Digital Product Manager to join us on this journey, the purpose of your role will be to:




For your assigned digital product area you will:







Own, develop and deliver a digital product vision and roadmap that achieves valuable outcomes linked to company goals. This includes working cross-functionally with your squad and business stakeholders to create and execute a digital product strategy that improves customer satisfaction and reduces the need to contact. You'll understand the value the squad are generating and be focussed on hitting goals making sure the team are highly engaged. Working closely with business stakeholders, you'll be expected to use data and customer insight to inform your plans taking a build, measure, learn approach to digital product development.




Some of the key role responsibilities include the following -






Work cross-functionally to create the digital product strategy for your area targeting ambitious outcomes related to increasing digital self-service channel share and customer satisfaction. Lead an agile squad working closely with design and development colleagues to deliver outcomes in a way that is highly collaborative. Inspire the squad making sure all team members are invested in the product vision and working as a cohesive team. Take a customer and data-centric approach to decision making communicating clearly with your stakeholders to take them on the journey as your product develops. Show resilience when faced with blockers and constraints driving the right activities to remove obstacles to achieving outcomes. Work across business units to ensure the scope of transformation programmes deliver the technical capabilities requited for the future success of your digital product. Work with business owners, designers, architects and developers to solve valuable problems and apply critical thinking to make sure the right activities are in focus. Be demanding about what your team needs in order to be successful avoiding constrained thinking based on technical blockers. Be the expert in your digital product paying close attention to performance metrics and quality scores. Be highly pragmatic taking time to understand the wider business context showing flexibility where required. Develop and manage roadmaps & product backlogs. Manage iteration goals and story prioritisations. Clearly communicate products/features/iterations and stories to internal and external stakeholders. Influence strategic technology decisions through feedback and collaborative working with all relevant Tech stakeholders. Identify opportunities for innovation through existing or future digital capabilities. Support the creation of investment/business cases based on agreed roadmaps to deliver new capabilities or mitigate risk in existing capabilities. Drive continuous improvement to proactively identify & remove waste from processes & activities.


What skills are we looking for?






Digital product management experience having managed customer-facing digital products through various stages of the product lifecycle - web application experience essential, mobile app experience highly desirable. Ability to understand and analyse digital performance and analytics data. Strong understanding of best-in-class digital design principles. Proven track record, preferably in the utilities sector for undertaking a Digital Product Management role where you have led a large digital development team Experience of product management in an agile environment. Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships at senior levels within an organisation. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a dynamic, changing environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to all levels, both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to develop and work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to pick up and own issues or projects on behalf of the management team. Possess a strong sense of purpose and proactively seek responsibility and ownership Creative and lateral thinking. Highly motivated and self-reliant with a personal drive for continuous development and demonstrates a strong customer service ethos. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to understand enterprise solutions. High standards of integrity & ethics.
