Digital Project Manager

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Role Summary

We're looking for a pragmatic, client-facing mid-weight Project Manager to lead Performance & Ad Ops teams across London and Leeds. This role is heavily focused on paid search (PPC) and stakeholder management: owning campaign delivery, optimisations, reporting and client roadmaps, while working closely with Account Managers and senior stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Own day-to-day delivery for PPC and Ad Ops campaigns (planning, trafficking, QC, launch and optimisation).

Take responsibility for clients' delivery roadmaps: translate commercial goals into campaign plans, milestones and optimisation cycles and keep them updated with progress and opportunities.

Act as the primary delivery partner to Account Managers and step into client-facing conversations when required to discuss performance, timelines and trade-offs.

Manage stakeholder expectations (internal teams, clients and partners) with clear and timely communication and status reporting.

Strong ability to prioritise competing tasks and campaigns, balancing client needs, internal resources and deadlines effectively.

Monitor campaign performance (pacing, budgets and targets), spot trends, propose optimisations and work with teams to implement them.

Maintain and own reporting dashboards, schedules and executive summaries.

Coordinate resourcing across London & Leeds, scope work, provide estimates and flag capacity constraints early.

Track time, costs and utilisation against budgets; support Account Managers with forecasting and commercial reporting.

Drive quality control across deliverables, including ad ops QA processes, campaign handovers and client-facing outputs.

Manage project governance and documentation (briefs, scopes, change logs) to ensure delivery aligns with contracts and agreements.

Identify and manage dependencies across PPC, Ad Ops, Creative, Data and Dev teams; escalate blockers and risks promptly.

Guide and support junior team members, reinforcing process discipline and sharing best practice.

Contribute to continuous improvement: refine workflows, introduce efficiencies and help upskill the wider PM and delivery teams.

Skills & Experience (Essential)

2+ years' project management experience in an agency environment, ideally with hands-on exposure to PPC/ad ops or performance marketing.

Strong stakeholder management. Comfortable influencing senior internal and client-side stakeholders and translating technical detail into business impact.

Commercially minded: used to working with campaign budgets, KPIs and optimisation trade-offs.

Practical delivery skills: scoping, prioritisation, resourcing and risk management across multiple concurrent campaigns.

Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present performance updates and roadmap plans clearly.

Strong familiarity with project management tools and workflows (ClickUp experience a plus, not required).

Comfortable working with remote teams and coordinating cross-departmental delivery.

Nice To Have

Direct experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, SA360 or similar ad platforms.

Familiarity with analytics and dashboarding tools (Looker Studio, GA4, internal dashboards).

Previous exposure to media buying workflows and tools.
