Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Trainer within the Health Boards Digital, Data & Technology Directorate, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB).

As a member of the dynamic and innovative Digital, Data & Technology directorate, you will be a member of the programme & projects team. The projects you will work on will allow you to build on your current skills and experience and provide you with opportunities for personal and professional development.



You will work with a wide range of stakeholders from varying professions across the health board, other NHS and 3rd party organisation/suppliers. This will include the requirement to attend sites regularly, sometimes at short notice. If you are looking for a new challenge in a prosperous department then this role is for you.



This role will be part of Digital, Date and Technology department who are responsible for developing and implementing new clinical systems and enhancing current functionality.

As a trainer in Digital, Data and Technology you will be responsible for the delivery of training new digital systems and the ongoing support of users post go LIVE. You will be a member of a small team that is within the Business Change and Benefits team. You will play a proactive part in the support and implementation of new digital projects and be expected to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and all grades of ABUHB staff.



You will be a key player, bringing a flexible, positive and can do approach to the training of staff from a cross section of services including clinical and non clinical.

Detailed job description



To deliver face to face and virtual training to all levels of clinical and administrative staff across the Health Board, ensuring staff are competent and confident in the use of Digital systems as part of transformational Digital Programmes/ Projects



To communicate with key personnel from clinical, managerial and information backgrounds to help deliver Digital systems and their benefits to the Health Board



To provide onsite support during the implementation of new systems and throughout the project cycle



Provide general system support to users, ensuring systems are being used to their full capability including the monitoring and responding of relevant Service Point calls



To act as the first point of contact for all users



To communicate to the project/system team feedback from training and use of systems ensuring this is documented and incorporated into future system and training programme development



To actively promote the use of Digital systems and technology



To contribute to the improvement in clinical care through business change, playing a key role in the implementation and use of new Digital systems.



Main responsibilities



To provide a multifaceted approach to high quality training to support the implementation of Clinical Digital systems



To provide onsite and virtual support and advice to users, including senior consultants



To be versatile with an ability to confidently deliver training to a range of staff at various skill levels, across all Health Board locations in a variety of training environments, including clinical areas



Provide administrative support including a requirement to respond to e-mails and Service Point calls in a professional and timely manner using dedicated templates to aid reporting requests



Establish and maintain good working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff



Improve users' confidence in the use of Clinical Digital systems, being empathetic to individual learners needs



Develop an in-depth knowledge of system functionality for all systems you are responsible for supporting



Have a good knowledge of the Digital systems supported by the wider Digital Programmes Department



Provide train the trainer support to identified system Super Users and new members of the team



Undertake troubleshooting exercises to assist senior members of the team with: System enhancements and upgrades, ensuring new functionality is ready for implementation

Testing required to support the issue investigation and resolution process.
