Salary

: Up to 42,389.32: (38,264.81 basic salary per annum with yearly increments based on performance plus a non-contractual/non pensionable Skills for the Information Age supplement of up to 4,124.51 amount awarded either 0%.50% or 100% based on validation of self-assessment).

To be based at one of our main hubs (London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds or Glasgow) London Allowance of 4,427.65 payable to London based candidates only.

: Blended approach of home and office-working is available.

This is full-time role (37 hours per week).

BTP's Technology Department is recruiting for Digital Workplace Engineers

. The Digital Workplace team provide advisory consultancy to the organisation that aligns with enterprise and solution architecture principles and enables technology solutions with the objectives of enabling productivity, collaboration, communication, connectivity, mobility and automation. As a forward-facing, development-focused team, Digital Workplace designs and delivers technologies and technical solutions which are then transitioned over to support/service management teams. Digital Workplace consists of three teams, End User Computing, Digital Productivity Platforms and Digital Productivity Solutions. This role will act as an engineering resource, providing technical advice within current and previously acquired technical specialisms to support teams within the department and the business.

As a Digital Workplace End User Computing Engineer

, you'll be part of a hands-on, forward-thinking team delivering cutting-edge solutions across Microsoft 365, Windows, Android, DEX and beyond. You'll help shape the end user experience, from device type and configuration to cloud-first enrolment and automation, while supporting a critical public service.

Essential Skills



Microsoft 365 certifications (MS-900, SC-900, MD-102)[LP1] Strong 3rd line support experience in ITIL led large organisations. Skilled in troubleshooting, automation, process, workflows. Hands-on with Microsoft 365, Intune, MDM, and device compliance. Confident mentoring others and working in agile teams. Experience with user experience tools (e.g. Nexthink[LP2] [H[3] ) and emerging AI in the workplace.

What You'll Do



Provide expert support for Microsoft 365 and endpoint platforms. Manage Windows and Android devices using Intune, Autopilot, and Samsung Knox Suite. Lead on device compliance, security, and software delivery. Shape the end user experience--from device choice to zero-touch provisioning. Deliver projects and improve digital workflows and support models. Use DEX tooling to monitor digital experience and drive proactive IT remediations. Collaborate across Digital Workplace teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
