About the role
We're looking for a motivated graduate with a passion for data, systems, and technology to join our team at Fiontar Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a degree in computing, maths, or a related field who wants to apply their technical skills in a real business environment while being fully supported by a team of experienced professionals and academic experts from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT).
You'll play a key role in helping us automate and improve how we manage projects across our business. Working closely with our internal team and DkIT specialists, you'll be involved in analysing processes, integrating software tools, developing dashboards, and using AI and machine learning to make our systems smarter and more efficient.
What you'll do
Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for digital improvement
Assist in designing and testing automated workflows and dashboards
Use tools like Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI to analyse and visualise data
Support the development of AI and machine learning models for automation
Learn from senior professionals in both industry and academia while building real project experience
About you
You're curious, hardworking, and keen to learn. You have a degree in maths, computing, or a related discipline and a genuine interest in how technology and data can solve real business problems. You don't need to know everything yet, you'll have support from experienced mentors every step of the way.
You'll need:
A relevant degree (Level 6 UK / Level 7 ROI or higher)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience (academic or practical) with coding or data tools such as Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI
Eligibility to work and travel in the UK and EU
It would be great if you also have:
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Some exposure to business processes or data integration
A positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
Why join us?
You'll gain hands-on experience working on a live innovation project backed by InterTradeIreland, guided by both industry professionals and DkIT researchers. It's a chance to make a real impact and develop the skills and experience that will set you up for a successful career in data, systems, or digital transformation.
