About the Role



Scalford Court is seeking a reliable and caring

Dining Room Assistant

to join our team in our residential care home for the elderly. You will play an important part in supporting meal and drink services throughout the day, ensuring residents enjoy a comfortable and pleasant dining experience. Tasks vary depending on the shift and service time.

Breakfast Service



Prepare toast, cereals, and other breakfast options. Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks to residents in the main dining room and in their rooms. Clear used crockery and cutlery to the kitchen area.

Mid-Morning Duties



Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks and snacks ensure bedrooms and communal areas have fresh juice. Clear used crockery and cutlery to the kitchen area. Prepare tables and trays ready for lunch service.

Lunch Service



Serve lunch to residents in the dining room and in their rooms. Clear all used crockery and cutlery to the kitchen area. Assist with preparation of fresh vegetables when required.

What We're Looking For



Friendly, supportive, and patient attitude. Ability to work as part of a team in a care home environment. Good communication skills and a respectful approach to elderly residents. Reliability and good timekeeping.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25 per hour
