Our twins:
Our son is the happiest, funniest, and cheekiest 12-year-old boy. He is football obsessed, playing for Tigers Trust Football each Wednesday evening, and supporting the mighty Manchester City! And his local team Hull City. He is incredibly sociable and loves being the centre of attention! He leads an active and busy life, he loves the outdoors, playing football in the garden and riding his bike, usually singing at the same time! He also loves attending his local Church every Sunday morning and loves belting out the hymns! He has Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and is a full-time wheelchair user.
Our daugher is the kindest, sassiest, incredibly determined, and intelligent 12-year-old girl. She is incredibly determined to be as independent as possible; she loves trips out to the town treating herself to a Starbucks and purchasing make up! She loves dancing and is very much a girly girl! She uses a Kaye Walker and single point sticks to support her mobility (Wheelchair for longer distances)
We are specifically looking for a member of staff to work as a Personal Assistant to join a fabulous team who support our 12-year-old twins who both have cerebral palsy. This will be within the home and out at their respective clubs.
The ideal candidate would have/had some experience or knowledge of cerebral palsy and/or working with children with a disability. Key responsibilities include care duties supporting our son 1:1 in particular, in all aspects of life, including personal care and manual handling.
