Summary

I'm seeking two good humored PA's who have a genuine passion for supporting and empowering others.

I am a 50 year old male who requires some support in getting back into the community. It is important you are able to get stuck in, have a laugh and take some banter occasionally.

About the role

I require support due to physical issues I face due to a brain tumor, and other complex health needs. Although I am mobile within the house using various aids, I do use a wheelchair outside of the home.

I love gardening so the ability to get stuck in is essential.

I would need you to support me with such things as personal care, prepare and cook meals, maintaining a clean home, supporting me to access the community and to accompany me to hospital appointments.

I have a passion for gardening and love cars, music and films. Having an interest in these areas would be an advantage.

Regardless of the physical issues I have, I maintain a positive outlook and determination to continue to be able to do the things that I can. I would therefore welcome support to get me back out and about, in particular when the weather gets nice to spend time in my garden and attend the gym once again.

Each day will be different and you will have a work environment where you will feel valued for your support.

The kind of person I am looking for

You must be able to maintain confidentiality. You must genuinely enjoy and take pride in working, empowering and supporting others. You should work in a way which promotes independence and supports abilities and strengths. Experience either professionally or personally providing support would be advantageous. You must be punctual and respectful. You must be 25 years+ due to insurance requirements on my car, Enhanced DBS must be in place prior to support starting

Days and Times required

This is a job share opportunity - 14 hours per week per person

Shifts available Mon- Sun (weekends will be split fairly).

Necessary Training

PA Induction certificate which will form part of the induction into the role

If not already in place you will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check before starting employment.
