ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a remote Direct Sales Coordinator (Booking Officer) to join our team. This is a fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for handling all incoming Direct/online student leads and converting them into a confirmed stay. You will have excellent sales skills in persuading and working with potential clients (students, parents) to offer them a confirmed high level service resulting in closing a sale and making a booking with a host family. The job includes doing the tasks of matching, finding a host, making host calls, sending options and profiles, speaking with hosts and clients by phone and email, following clear placement instructions and ensuring bookings are completed efficiently and accurately.
You'll need to be comfortable making multiple phone calls daily, working under pressure, and seeing every task through to the end. This is a role for someone who is highly responsive, can handle volume, and isn't afraid to pick up the phone repeatedly to get results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaising by email and phone with all new leads and enquiries to convert them into confirmed bookings/stays
Calling host families to offer and confirm bookings
Matching students to the most suitable homestays based on group or individual needs
Following detailed instructions from senior team members
Responding quickly to booking requests and changes and feedback
Handling a high volume of calls, messages, and admin tasks daily
Keeping our student management system updated with accurate placement details
Coordinating with the compliance team to ensure host suitability
Communicating with students and/or parents in a timely manner
Assisting with emergency changes and last-minute placements as required
Seeing to the students full journey from pre arrival to end, including feedback and referrals through good service
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Previous experience in a phone-based or customer-facing sales role
Excellent verbal communication and confident phone manner
Strong ability to follow instructions and complete tasks thoroughly
High attention to detail in written communication and admin
Self-motivated and able to manage a high volume of tasks independently
Good working knowledge of email, spreadsheets, and IT
Must be available to work full UK hours (9:00am to 5.30pm)

Experience in student accommodation, bookings, or travel industry
Familiarity with group bookings or booking systems
A second language is a bonus but not required
