As the Director, Commercial Strategy and Planning, you will lead enterprise-wide initiatives that accelerate commercial growth, improve customer engagement, and drive transformation across the organization. A key focus of the role will be leading the design and activation of a unified data environment that powers critical commercial and customer-facing use cases--while enabling smarter, more scalable decision-making across regions and teams.

You will play a pivotal role in aligning strategic planning, data enablement, and business execution--working cross-functionally to translate insights into impact.

What you'll be doing:

1. Strategic Leadership

Shape and evolve long-term commercial and customer strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends

Champion the design and deployment of a unified commercial data environment to support strategy, sales, marketing, and customer operations

Partner with Product, Technology, and Analytics teams to define and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring consistency, quality, and accessibility of commercial data

Guide the organization in identifying and activating high-impact data-powered use cases, such as customer segmentation, pricing optimization, sales performance analytics, and lifecycle marketing

2. Program Design & Delivery

Lead cross-functional transformation programs focused on commercial effectiveness and data-enabled decision-making

Drive the implementation of new systems, processes, and tools that enhance how data is used across commercial teams

Establish clear governance, KPIs, and milestone tracking to ensure strategic alignment and measurable outcomes

Foster a culture of experimentation and adaptability, leveraging agile delivery models

3. Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a central coordinator between executive leadership and global/regional teams to align priorities and resources

Influence key stakeholders across Product, Tech, Marketing, and Sales to embed data-informed practices into day-to-day operations

Lead change management initiatives that support the adoption of new data platforms, planning processes, and performance tools

4. Commercial Impact & Continuous Improvement

Track performance against strategic, commercial, and operational goals--leveraging data to identify gaps and drive improvements

Use market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer data to inform planning and unlock new growth opportunities

Promote continuous learning and capability building around commercial data strategy, tools, and performance management

What we need from you:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Data Science, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

10+ years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, transformation leadership, or enterprise program management

Demonstrated success in leading data-informed business transformation initiatives with measurable impact on growth or efficiency

Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and the practical application of analytics in commercial functions

Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives that combine business, technology, and data stakeholders

Ability to clearly communicate data-driven strategies and insights to senior leadership

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a bias for execution

Deep experience working with commercial data systems, including CRM, customer insights, performance analytics, and reporting platforms

Demonstrated ability to design and activate data-powered use cases across sales, marketing, and customer experience

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional alignment, especially in data-centric transformation

Strong influencing and communication skills across all levels of the organization

Comfortable leading in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities

Desired Experience:

Background in a B2B environment, ideally within a service- or technology-led organization

Direct experience with data strategy or data enablement initiatives supporting commercial or go-to-market functions

Familiarity with data platforms and tools such as Salesforce, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar

Exposure to customer segmentation models, lifecycle marketing, and revenue performance analytics
