Position Summary: As the Director of Finance you will be responsible for the management of financial processes and accuracy of financial reporting for Catalyst operations. The position is integral to the accuracy of overall company financial results and will act as a key business partner to leaders across the organization. Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Establish and ensure compliance with financial policies and processes for in collaboration other corporate and project finance team members.
  • Manage and conduct key finance activities for Catalyst subsidiaries, included but not limited to:
  • Accounts payable/contractor payments/employee expenses
  • Treasury and cash management
  • FX management
  • General ledger \xe2\x80\x93 journal entries, etc.
  • Month end reporting
  • Statutory reporting
  • Tax reporting (income tax, VAT, etc.)
  • Payroll
  • Transfer pricing
  • Account reconciliations
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate internal control structure to align with corporate internal controls.
  • Manage relationships with local accounting firms, banks, and other external providers.
  • Act as finance leader for Catalyst regions and finance business partner for other Catalyst leaders.
  • Collaborate within corporate and project finance teams to develop, prepare, and maintain monthly financial reporting and analysis pack.
  • Comply with company data standards; act as champion for data standardization and cleanliness in region(s).
  • Act as a leadership champion for company culture in the region.
  • Collaborate with US legal and engage external support to open and maintain legal entities as needed.
  • Grow and manage finance team as and when need arises.
Supervisory Requirements/Responsibilities: N/A Position Qualifications and Requirements: Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience: Minimum of 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a corporate finance or accounting role. CRO industry preferred. Required Certifications: Chartered Accountant or relevant certification preferred. Required Skills:
  • Ability to implement and maintain accounting processes with appropriate internal controls
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS corporate accounting standards.
  • Understanding of the business framework in Europe and ability to make connections to ensure financial and related legal requirements are met in each country.
  • Proven ability to handle meet deadlines and juggle competing obligations.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external colleagues across borders in Europe and throughout the globe.
  • Good business judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions or recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English language
  • Strong organizational skills.
