Due to recent internal promotion, Willmott Dixon are looking to recruit a Director (Delivery) for our London and East regional office based out of Hitchin, Hertfordshire. As Director (Delivery) you will be responsible for leading an operational team through preconstruction into on-site delivery ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations. The region for our London and East office extends into North and Central London, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

As part of the wider London & East board you will be expected to ensure that we deliver across all disciplines adopting a Director first approach, contributing to the strategic aims and objectives of the business.

Our Director (Delivery) responsibilities include:
Leadership and management of diverse teams to give them clear direction, motivation and skills to support the growth and development of our people.
Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environment on each project with the support of our Central HSE team.
Being the main point of contact for our customers and to take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a project from the moment we engage with a customer through to completion.
Ensure robust strategies are developed and maintained for the delivery of projects. Challenge and interrogate progress reports and instigate corrective actions quickly as required to ensure projects are delivered on time.
Ensuring project strategies are in place to achieve the Willmott Dixon's sustainability objectives.
Ensure strategies are in place to deliver a quality build in accordance with the requirements of the project.
Develop, nurture and manage supply chain relationships.
Set and agree challenging and realistic budgets and ensure delivery to those budgets.
Review performance against targets and identify and manage potential risks and opportunities.
Lead and motivate the delivery team and ensure its balance and shape is correct to deliver workload programme.
Maintain continuous personal development to ensure appropriate technical awareness for both yourself and your team.
Ensure consistent implementation of standard procedures.
Ensure closure of defects during defects period and obtain certificate of Making Good Defects within targets set.
Support of the preconstruction activities to ensure future work is viable and properly supported operationally
Liaise with Preconstruction Director regarding the future workload profile.
Share best practice and drive continuous improvement.
