Due to retirement, we are seeking a

talented and experienced leader

to join our Care Leadership team as

Director of Care Services

covering the region in the North of England. Accountable for around 35 homes and over 80m turnover your leadership of a team of District Managers will directly influence the quality of life for thousands of older people, deliver strong financial performance and help shape the future of care at Anchor.

- lead, develop, and empower over two thousand care professionals to deliver excellence every day for our residents.

Deliver high quality care

- consistently safe care that goes above and beyond regulatory expectations.

Deliver financial performance

- successfully balance a mixed portfolio of local authority and privately funded beds, achieving occupancy, budget and long-term sustainability.

Influence transformation

- contribute to innovation and continuous improvement, embed future care models, and ensure successful delivery of our ambitious Care Strategy 2024-2029.

We are looking for a leader who is both commercially astute and values-driven, with:


Senior level experience in the UK Adult care sector, ideally with experience of local authority, privately funded and luxury market products - including the effective commissioning of new homes. A proven track record of delivering compliant high-quality care, financial success and operational improvement. The presence, credibility, and relationship-building skills to motivate, influence and inspire colleagues at all levels. A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people.
