As Director of Clinical Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across clinical departments, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-focused care. Working closely with hospital leadership and group-level stakeholders, you will be instrumental in shaping the clinical direction, promoting innovation, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage clinical governance, risk, and compliance across all clinical areas.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and service quality.
Provide mentorship and leadership to clinical heads of departments and multi-disciplinary teams.
Collaborate with the Medical Director, Chief Nurse, and operational teams to ensure integrated service delivery.
Champion patient safety, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance (CQC, etc.).
Lead on major transformation projects, service redesigns, and pathway optimisation.
Key Skills required
Registered healthcare professional (NMC/HCPC) with substantial clinical leadership experience.
Proven track record in managing complex clinical services in an acute or multi-specialty setting.
Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, and healthcare regulations.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinker with operational insight and a passion for patient-centred care.
