Job Description

Director of Digital Systems required to join a leading global enterprise and shape the strategy, performance, and evolution of the organisation's global digital application landscape. The role ensures enterprise platforms are secure, resilient, and able to support long-term business growth; these include CRM, ERP, and finance systems.




The position manages globally distributed teams of up to 40 FTE across business applications, software engineering, testing, and release management, operating within a complex multi matrix international environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Director sets the vision and roadmap for enterprise applications, ensuring systems align with architectural standards, modern delivery practices and business priorities. They are accountable for delivering scalable, reliable and high-performing platforms while reducing technical risk and improving sustainability.




Global delivery teams are led through clear governance and effective operating models, fostering a collaborative culture that supports innovation and consistent execution. Structured Agile ways of working are embedded, with a strong emphasis on capability building and disciplined delivery.




Continuous improvement is central to the role, with responsibility for strengthening the software delivery lifecycle and advancing DevOps maturity to improve quality, automation and speed. Working closely with senior technology and business leaders, the Director ensures digital systems remain aligned with the wider technology strategy and continue to meet evolving organisational needs. The role oversees supplier governance and partnerships, ensuring external services meet quality and ethical standards. Security, risk and compliance are embedded across the digital systems portfolio, safeguarding data and promoting responsible technology practices.
