Job Description

The Director of HR will serve as a strategic and operational HR leader for the Home Delivery vertical of AIT Worldwide Logistics, supporting over 500 teammates across UK and Europe. This role will be instrumental in aligning HR strategies with business goals, driving talent initiatives, and fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture. The Director of HR will partner closely with regional leadership and global HR teams to deliver impactful talent development, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. The Director of HR will have responsibilities related to performance management, coaching/training leadership, onboarding, employee relations, career development, teammate recognition, and engagement. The Director of HR will oversee a small team of HR professionals supporting the division within UK and Germany.



Key Responsibilities:



Strategic HR Partnership:

Act as a trusted advisor to the VP and regional leaders, aligning HR strategies with business objectives across UK and Europe.

Talent Management & Development:

Lead initiatives in performance management, succession planning, and leadership development. Identify and nurture high-potential talent within the vertical.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

Provide expert guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and teammate engagement. Champion a culture of inclusion, recognition, and continuous feedback.

Global Onboarding & Integration:

Design and implement a best-in-class onboarding experience tailored to the Home Delivery footprint.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with local labor laws and global HR policies. Partner with regional and global legal and compliance teams to manage risk and implement regulatory changes.

Workforce Planning & Recruitment:

Forecast workforce needs, build talent pipelines, and support strategic hiring across the vertical.

Project Leadership:

Lead or support global HR projects within the vertical, change management initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration efforts within the vertical.



Experience required:



Progressive HR experience, preferably in a global or regional role

Strong knowledge of UK and European labor laws and HR practices

Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership

Experience in matrixed organizations and cross-cultural environments

Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems

Strong communication (fluency in English) and interpersonal abilities.

Bachelor's degree in HR, or related field or equivalent professional qualification
