Are you the Philanthropy Director who will drive innovation and change in fundraising for Manchester\xe2\x80\x99s brand-new landmark cultural art space?

If you live in Manchester you\xe2\x80\x99ll have seen or heard about this refreshed and revitalised organisation, with its brand-new home at the recently opened Aviva Studios. Building on the magic of its biennial festival, it will now produce an ambitious year-round programme of the world\xe2\x80\x99s best new dance, theatre, music, visual and performance arts and digital commissions in a landmark new space. Rooted in the city of Manchester, the team and its collaborating partners will hold space for the world\xe2\x80\x99s most exciting artists to invent tomorrow together, while supporting the next generation of local talent into creative industries. It\xe2\x80\x99s a place to come together, to create, invent and play!

Salary: up to \xc2\xa370k
Location: Hybrid, between Aviva Studios and home
Benefits: 25 days holiday, 5% employer pension contribution and many additional extras

About the role

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking to create a step-change in philanthropy, and we need you to help us to do that.

To help bring this unique vision to life, you\xe2\x80\x99ll develop a brand-new fundraising strategy and inspire a talented Development team. There\xe2\x80\x99s a successful fundraising operation for the biennial festival already in place, so this role is about directing and reshaping fundraising towards the exciting possibilities that a year-long programme and incredible new venue provide.

Through extraordinary, innovative collaboration with individuals at all levels (including ultra high-net-worth donors) and building close relationships with trusts and foundations, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be at the cutting edge of philanthropy as it evolves. It\xe2\x80\x99s vital that you are energised and motivated by growth and change.

About you

You\xe2\x80\x99re already an experienced Philanthropy leader, an exceptional relationship builder and a critical thinker.

You\xe2\x80\x99re entrepreneurial, able to identify and deliver strategic opportunities for growth across established and developing income streams.

You\xe2\x80\x99re a champion of cross-organisational networking and relationship building, working collaboratively across teams to embed a culture of philanthropy and connect people with opportunities (internally and externally).

You\xe2\x80\x99ve got a personal track-record of securing gifts in excess of six figures, with overall team targets upwards of seven figures.

You\xe2\x80\x99re a nurturing and encouraging leader, someone who thrives under pressure and knows how to harness experienced and emerging talent.
